Simple Skills for Self-Sufficiency: Video Series Introduction

Welcome to our Simple Skills for Self-Sufficiency Video Series!

We’re starting a new weekly video series to help you get through the coronavirus crisis and beyond. Join us for a weekly video sharing simple skills for self-sufficiency and self-reliance at home.

When I first heard about the coronavirus and our need to spend more time at home, my initial thought was that I could run some courses to share practical information; to help people learn to grow their own food, mend their clothes and be more self-sufficient.

When it became clear this wouldn’t be possible due to the necessary self-isolating measures, I thought the next best thing would be to do that through video and share these skills to a wider audience.

So we’re going to be sharing a weekly video with a practical skill that you can master to help you be a little bit more resilient.

Each week one of the Pip team will share a project to take you one step closer to a more self-reliant life. We’ll have videos on growing and foraging for food, making household staples like sourdough bread, butter and cheese. We’ll also look into managing your own waste, mending, as well as making natural cleaning products from scratch.

Together we will learn the skills we need to tread more lightly on the earth.

We hope you can join us!
