Marketing and Digital Marketing Specialist.

We are looking for a new member of our team. We are looking for an enthusiastic dynamic and experienced digital marketing specialist. The role involves creating an overall marketing strategy incorporating, social media, email campaigns, digital advertising, events and more.

Manage social media accounts.

  • create a social media strategy
  • create posts (knowledge of permaculture and sustainability essential)
  • analyse results
  • create Facebook ads and run analytics

Create email-marketing campaigns, some training supplied to use our software and techniques:

  • create strategy
  • create and manage emails
  • monitor results and review
  • E-newsletter creation

Create monthly e-newsletter:

  • write and co-ordinate other writers for regular blog posts
  • liase with team re give-aways and other promotions
  • create and send the e-newsletter

Design digital banners, memes and other marketing materials.

The successful applicant must have:

  • proven social media skills and experience with creating and implementing social media strategies, using stories and creating successful ad campaigns
  • excellent grammar and editing skills
  • an artistic flair
  • attention to detail is essential
  • self-motivated and able to work autonomously
  • a good communicator
  • dynamic and enthusiastic
  • knowledge of Indesign and Photoshop
  • knowledge of WordPress or similar applications and experience with email campaigns
  • must have proven experience of Facebook and Instagram including stories and running ad campaigns.

Bonus skills:

  • video editing
  • audio editing (garage band)

Location:Preferably Pambula NSW. Although we will consider working remotely with the right applicant. Outside Pambula, Melbourne is the preferred location.

Position: Casual. Starting with 5-10 hours a week. Flexible hours.

Freelance Sub Editor

Location: Preferably Pambula, NSW but happy to consider working remotely with the right candidate, with preference given to Melbourne.

Do you have a way with words and also amazing attention to detail.

We are looking for a talented wordsmith to join our small and vibrant team at Pip Magazine. Pip Magazine is a national permaculture magazine focusing on sharing ideas, information and inspiration around sustainable living practices.

You will be responsible for maintaining the standard of excellence for accurate content in the magazine and across all platforms consistent with the brand’s profile, voice and style requirements.

You will have impeccable writing and subediting skills – ensuring copy is clear, concise and factually correct. You will be comfortable writing and subbing copy for multiple channels, from print through to website copy, email marketing and social media.

To be considered for this opportunity you will have:

  • strong sub editing skills
  • strong writing skills
  • an eagle eye for style, accuracy, consistency and quality
  • a passion for sustainable living and permaculture
  • good organisational skills and be able to manage projects to meet deadlines
  • ability to self-motive and work collaboratively with others
  • will have experience writing inspiring and engaging headings and intros
  • can spot a typo, grammatical error instantly
  • be flexible and able to work well and maintain quality under pressure

What’s the role?

  • subediting of magazine articles in the lead up to the issue’s release. (Pip is published three times a year.)
  • subediting online content on a sporadic basis throughout the year
  • potential creation of content across all media
  • creating / editing copy for marketing purposes
  • help express the Pip message across all channels in a dynamic and clear way
  • fact-checking, subediting copy and ensuring content adheres to house style and is appropriate for the channel (print, digital, social)
  • writing headings, intros and captions that are consistently appropriate and creative
  • working closely with the editor to help sculpt articles to fit the Pip style
  • work on developing the style guide
  • meeting deadlines and assisting to manage the production process
  • checking proofs and inputting editor’s changes as necessary

Your credentials:

  • experience as a subeditor
  • preferably have practical experience and knowledge of sustainable living
  • excellent subediting and English language skills
  • experience working across print, digital and social channels is desirable
  • ability to work with 100 per cent accuracy
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to juggle multiple tasks and work efficiently under pressure
  • ability to work well as part of a team, as well as independently

Bonus Skills:

These skills aren’t necessary but would be a bonus to have:

  • experience with other streams of content production eg editing of video/ audio and images.
  • an understanding of SEO principles and how they can be applied to content in a multi-platform environment
