An Advertising Sales Person and an Editorial Assistant.

Advertising Sales Person

Pip Magazine is looking for a new advertising sales person. We are dedicated to promoting the ideas of permaculture and sustainability to our audience and to share products and services that are in line with this lifestyle. We are a small team based in Pambula NSW. We are open to employees working remotely and connecting online, although it would be advantageous to meet in person occasionally.

Your job is to help like-minded businesses promote their brand in our magazine and through our digital channels.

We are looking for someone who:

  • is self motivated and driven
  • is genuine
  • has great organisational and time management skills
  • demonstrates attention to detail
  • is confident and has a positive attitude
  • has sales experience
  • is proficient across a range of computer programs
  • excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • can identify relevant businesses and create a personalised package for them
  • has some knowledge of the permaculture and sustainability fields

Editorial Assistant

Pip Magazine is looking for a new editorial assistant. We are looking for someone to join our small dynamic team.

You will be working closely with the editor, assisting in all aspects of putting the magazine together including:

  • Liaising with authors.
  • Subediting articles.
  • Researching and writing articles.
  • Sourcing images.
  • Conducting interviews.

Must have:

  • A passion for writing and all things wordy.
  • The ability to pick up grammatical errors in any writing.
  • Experience in the publishing industry.
  • Examples of written work.
  • A good understanding of the style of the magazine.
  • An in-depth understanding of permaculture and sustainability.

It would be preferable if:

  • You lived near Pambula NSW and could work onsite at times (this is not essential).
  • You have worked in the magazine industry.
  • You are well connected in the permaculture movement.

Hours are flexible and will change throughout the magazine cycle with more hours required in the lead up to publication. Pip is published three times a year, February, June and October.
